SPRINT – HALF THE DISTANCE BUT EQUALLY CHALLENGING
The sprint race in 2018 is the shortest of the Sunday races, and is a great distance for novice triathletes to start their triathlon journey. Additionally, you still get to finish across the same iconic blue carpet as the elites in Millennium Square.
If you’re a first timer or new to the sport, regardless of whether you enter the Sprint or Standard distance, the open races are set to be a fun and accessible event for all ages and abilities to take part in, and you can be assured that there will be plenty of other triathletes of a similar ability to you taking part.
Why we LOVE the sprint distance
Date, Time & Location:
Sunday 10th June, Roundhay Park - Leeds City Centre
*To find out more about the Standard Relay option please see here
What is it like to take on the Sprint distance?
Download the 2017 race route below. The team are currently confirming the 2018 route, however it is expected to remain very similar to last year’s route. You loved it, so we are aiming to change as little as possible.
Who can take part?
You must be 15 or over to take part (on the 31st Dec 2018).
It is compulsory to wear a wetsuit, and you will need a road worthy bike though this doesn’t need to be a fancy one! You can get advice on hiring both a wetsuit and a bike from the event organisers if you need to.
