Yorkshire-based bike and outdoor sport retailer, Planet X, have been announced as Official Event Partner for AJ Bell 2021 World Triathlon Leeds.
Taking place in Roundhay Park on 5 and 6 June, the event will see a festival of triathlon take place across the weekend with junior, amateur and elite triathletes and paratriathletes competing in the park.
Planet X are an employee-owned company who sell a range of bike and outdoor sporting equipment and are one of the leading bike assemblers in the UK having designed the world’s first carbon fibre time-trial bar.
Part of the action on Sunday 6 June is the Yorkshire Championships, which provides participants who live in Yorkshire the opportunity to claim the title.
Through the partnership, Planet X will be providing a Pro Carbon Disc SRAM Rival 22 Road Bike for the fastest Yorkshire Championships participant through transition 2.
The Yorkshire Championships are taking place alongside the British Standard Distance Triathlon Championships, open standard distance triathlon and World Triathlon Championship Series on the Sunday.
Saturday 5 June will host open sprint distance, TriStar, youth, GO TRI and aquathlon racing, as well as the World Triathlon Para Series which will take place in Britain for the first time. Spectator tickets for the Saturday action, including the elite paratriathlon racing are available here.
