World Triathlon Championship Series Leeds launches corporate relay

The AJ Bell 2022 World Triathlon Championship Series Leeds has launched its corporate relay this week, in which businesses will compete on performance both on and off the course.

Teams of three are being entered, with donations to Leeds Hospital charities or businesses’ own charities and prizes will be offered for the best performing corporate relay team on the day, as well as the relay team that raises the most money for charity.

After launching the relay challenge at the British Triathlon Breakfast Club in Leeds earlier this week, Tom Riordan, Chief Executive, Leeds City Council, said: “The corporate relay challenge is the perfect opportunity for colleagues to bond outside of work, building camaraderie and taking health and wellbeing to another level.  I’d urge local businesses to sign up and experience the buzz of the event while raising vital funds for Leeds Hospitals Charity.”

Lindsay Impett, Event Director WTCS Leeds, said: "Leeds Hospital Charity have been a part of the event since 2020 and we're delighted to be working closely with them in support of the great work that they do.

"Individuals from across the globe will have their eyes on Leeds on 11-12 June this year, and partnering with a local charity is really important for the event. AJ Bell 2022 World Triathlon Championship Series Leeds is an event with an international reach that we also want to have a very local feel.

"Leeds Hospital Charity and their new children's hospital will bring benefits to children and young people in the region and across the UK, and I'm pleased to know that this year's event and its participants will play a part in helping to make it a reality."
