Alistair and Jonathan Brownlee delighted their hometown crowd with a repeat gold and silver performance at the 2017 Columbia Threadneedle World Triathlon Leeds. Bemudian Flora Duffy earned her fourth career World Triathlon Series victory and second consecutive win of the season in front of over 50,000 passionate sports fans.

Adam Bowden and Tom Bishop added to the British celebrations with fourth and fifth, and Jess Learmonth was sixth in the women’s race.

Just under 3,000 people completed in amateur events during the weekend, from juniors and novices to leading amateur athletes competing on the same course as the elites in the British Standard Distance Age-Group Triathlon Championships.
